IUM CERTIFICATES
IUM has been defining professional standards in the Beauty Industry. The IUM schools will provide students with the ability to equip themselves with skills to succeed.
A student obtaining an IUM qualification is assured that the qualification will be recognised and respected worldwide within the IUM Beauty Industry. IUM graduates will continue to ‘stand out’ in an increasingly competitive skills market.
The aim of IUM approved education
To provide candidates with the required information and qualification to be able to efficiently and effectively work as a makeup/hairstylist artist, including natural, dramatic and historical look.
Pre-requisite
The IUM Certificate in makeup and hair styling is available to any candidates who have a professional makeup artist, Hairstylist, and Hairdresser education approved by IUM education as background. The IUM certification can be achieved for makeup artists, hairstylists, and hairdressers from another education program by validation of IUM certificated school.
Training
Candidates are required to have completed a course of at least 300 hours at a registered IUM School covering all subjects in the IUM makeup/hair Syllabus.
Examination
Makeup artists enrolled in IUM member schools receive automatic IUM membership after applying and paying a membership fee. A digital certification is awarded.
Artists who are not graduated from IUM´s member schools are also welcome to join by completing an online paid test and submitting their portfolio for a review. A digital certification is awarded after sucssesful completion.
